The Chief Minister Digambar Kamat on Tuesday said that the Margao would be the first city in the country, where the scheme will be launched on general mediclaim Independence Day, August 15
Kamat was speaking to reporters outside the office of District Collectorate, Margao, after he was chairman of a high-level meeting in the rooms department, which included Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, Director of Health Services Rajnanda Dessai, South Goa District Collector Sandip Jacques and health officials said Tuesday.
The plan, which was recently approved by the state cabinet, offering up to 60 000 per year per family of five Goan. The government has a state budget of 20 crore for the scheme. It is proposed that a universal system for Mediclaim Policy entire resident population of Goa to cover primary care and secondary.
“We plan to issue cards under the medical plan, Arogya Bima Yojana Swarnajayanti (Saby), August 15 vouchers will be issued in the public and provide medical insurance coverage of up to 60,000 by family, “said Kamat.
“We review all arrangements for early implementation of the project,” Rane said, adding that Goa would be the first state in India to implement this project. “We will implement the system gradually over Margao Goa and then take the Valpoi scheme, Sattari, Siolim and Mapusa,” Rane said.
The last assembly meeting, Prime Minister informed the Parliament that the rate of treatment should be prescribed at Goa Medical College, and only applies to residents living Goans in Goa last more than five years.
All state employees and public enterprises will be subject Säby scheme and all unauthorized medical expenses more than 60,000 will be covered under the Mediclaim existing government. All public hospitals and selected hospitals in the private sector who are willing to be established under Säby system will be subject to the same, said Kamat in the last Assembly session.
