A special health insurance policy is launched by Future Generali India Insurance Company relating to critical illness. The sum assured is payable in event of suffering a critical illness or diagnosis of the terminal illness before the end of the term (the illness being covered/mentioned in the benefit cover and the covered illness occurs first during the term of the policy). All claims made under this policy will be serviced by the company directly (like other non-life insurers, ICICI Lombard, Bajaj Allianz etc.)
The plan covers 12 critical illnesses namely heart attack, coronary artery bypass surgery, cancer, kidney failure, stroke, coma, liver failure, multiple sclerosis, major organ transplant and even total blindness. The minimum sum assured is Rs.2 lac and maximum is Rs.50 lac.
