In India, even today a large part of our medical bills are financed by our personal savings. Birla Sun Life Health Plan is designed keeping Indian markets in mind. It’s a 3 year plan covering you, your family and parents allowing you to decide the amount of insurance for each individual.
Benefits are fixed and will be paid irrespective of actual cost and in addition to any other insurance plan you have.
Guaranteed insurability to:-

Benefits could be realized only when the insured is admitted to a hospital or undergoes a surgery. The benefits can be categorized as:-
| Surgical Management | (a) If the surgery is listed in the covered surgery
Rs. 1,00,000 to Rs. 10,000 (depend on the grade)
(b) If the surgery is not listed in the covered surgery Rs. 2000/day in hospital + Rs. 1000/day in ICU |
| Medical Management | (c) Rs. 1000/day in hospital + Rs. 1000/day in ICU |
*for (b) and (c), hospitalization must be of at least 24 hours.

Conditions
- 90 days waiting period: During the initial 90 days of the policy, only the claims for accidental injuries will be admitted.
Tax Benefit
- The premium paid by you up to Rs. 15,000 (Rs. 20,000 for senior citizens) per annum is eligible for tax benefit under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

- Seek second medical opinion for any life threatening or serious condition.
- Navigator service to locate treatment option in your locality.
- After completion of the tenure (3 years), if the principle insured repurchase the policy he/she is entitled to further benefits.
- No underwriting, no questions asked, guaranteed issuance of new plan irrespective of health status and past claims.
- Health insurance units automatically increase by 20%.
- Waiver of 90 days waiting time and deduction of Rs 1000.
- All excluded surgeries are covered (total of 101 surgeries are covered)
